Terms of Service
These terms form the agreement between you and the operator of Nuance. Please read them before using the service.

1. Who you are contracting with
Nuance is provided by Elisabeth Lahtinen, trading as Nuance ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are using Nuance on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. What Nuance does
Nuance is a subscription tool that helps you capture ideas, clarify your thinking and produce drafts for social writing, informed by a profile you build. Nuance does not publish on your behalf and is not affiliated with LinkedIn or any other platform.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@nuance.ac if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Plans, payment and subscription terms
Nuance offers a free tier with one included draft creation, and Nuance Pro at $29 per month, billed monthly and renewing automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before purchase and may exclude tax, which is calculated at checkout.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Our own Refund Policy also applies.
5. Fair use
AI generation is subject to fair-use limits designed so that normal individual use is never affected. Automated, bulk or resale use of generation is not permitted. If a limit is reached, generation pauses briefly and the rest of Nuance keeps working.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Nuance to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights
- create fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, hateful or defamatory content, impersonate a real person, or produce content that misrepresents someone's words or actions
- send spam, or generate content at scale for automated distribution
- upload malware, probe, scrape or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the service
- attempt to reverse engineer the service, circumvent technical limits, or resell or redistribute it
- jailbreak or manipulate the writing engine into producing prohibited content
7. Your content, inputs and outputs
You keep ownership of the material you put into Nuance and of the drafts it produces for you. You grant us a limited licence to host, store and process that material solely to operate the service for you. You confirm you have the rights to any text you paste in, including reference material written by others, and you are responsible for how you use the output.
Drafts are generated by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unintentionally similar to other writing. You must review anything before publishing it. Nuance is not a substitute for legal, financial or other professional advice. If you believe content produced or stored in Nuance infringes your rights, email support@nuance.ac and we will investigate; we may remove content and suspend accounts for repeated infringement.
8. Content moderation
We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter generation output, and suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there has been a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or a serious or repeated policy violation. Where practical we will tell you first.
9. Our intellectual property
We retain all rights in Nuance itself, including its software, design, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan.
10. Availability and warranties
We work to keep Nuance available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data, business or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
13. Termination
You can stop using Nuance at any time and delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your content as described in the Privacy Notice. Export anything you want to keep before you delete.
14. General
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified where appropriate. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and the courts of Finland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
